The City of Westerville hosts Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collections at the City's Public Service Complex (350 Park Meadow Rd.) twice a year. Questions regarding these events should be directed to the Department of Public Service at (614) 901-6740 or publicservice@westerville.org.

2026 Collections

The spring HHW Collection will be Saturday, May 30, and the fall HWW Collection will be Saturday, Oct. 3. Both collections will be available for community members from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Please enter from Schrock Road. Scroll down to view a list of accepted items.

In addition to hazardous waste, the City will also accept donations for community members in need through the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM). Since 1972, WARM has provided food assistance to households in the Westerville City School District who meet income eligibility requirements. Please visit the WARM website to learn more and view a list of most needed items.

Please Note: Shredding services are NOT planned for these events.

Latex/water-based paints will be accepted. Disposal Fee: typically $1.00 per gallon

NOTE: Latex paint, when dried/hardened, can be placed for regular curbside refuse collection.

Oil-based paint is accepted for no charge.
