Cops & Kids Day will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 12-4 p.m. at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N. Cleveland Ave. The event was rescheduled from its original date, Sunday, Sept. 9, due to the weather.

Cops & Kids Day is designed to build relationships between law enforcement and the community. Agencies throughout the state attend this annual event, and cruisers, helicopters, motorcycles, tactical vehicles, and K-9s will be on display. Kids are also able to participate in arts and crafts, inflatable gyms, and other activities including the ever-popular "Dunk-a-Cop" tank. Local hospitals and safety organizations also attend the event and provide various child safety materials, promotional items, and other interactive exercises.

The first 2,000 children in attendance receive a gift, and admission and refreshments are FREE! This year's even is Sunday, September 23 (12 - 4 p.m.) at the Westerville Sports Complex.

NEW THIS YEAR: Text "CopsKids" to 888777 to get updates on road closure and event news. County Line Road will close between Vesper Way and Cleveland Avenue from approximately 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
