Commercial and residential building and limited plumbing inspections
Inspections are required to ensure that plans are implemented as approved in accordance with the adopted Building Code. The inspection can be thought of as the final step of the permit review process. All prior inspections must be completed and fees paid before scheduling an additional inspection.
Limited plumbing: Inspections are limited to hot water heaters, deduct meters and backflow devices. Please see below for all other plumbing inspections.

Requests must be submitted before noon for next-day service.
When scheduling any inspection, the requestor must specify the inspection type, site address and permit number. Please be advised that time will only be given for footing, gas piping and alteration/remodel inspections inside an occupied dwelling. The approved plans, plan approval letter and the records of previous inspection results must be available on the job site.

Plumbing Inspections

Engineering right of way, forms and subgrade, and concrete pour/placement inspections
Any new Driveway, Driveway extension, Approach, Sidewalk and/or associated concrete work found to be non-compliant with City of Westerville Codified Ordinances, Standard Drawings and/or guidelines shall be removed and/or reconstructed by the property owner and/or contractor at the property owner's and/or contractor's expense.
- Forms and Subgrade Inspection: Concrete forms and stone base are in place.
- Concrete Pour/Placement Inspection: When concrete is scheduled to be poured an inspector needs to witness the concrete pour.
Note: These two (2) inspections are required and may be scheduled concurrently. The applicant (property owner/contractor) assumes all risks should the form inspection fail.
