Welcome to the best camp experience ever!  Westerville Parks & Recreation prides itself on offering safe, fun-filled, and affordable camp experiences to all families in the community.  Whether camp is outside or inside, half-day or full-day, active or passive, winter, spring, summer or fall, Westerville Parks & Recreation offers it all!  Check the seasonal Community Recreation Guides for a complete list of programs and camps!  

Spring Break Camp

This is the best Spring Break any kid could ask for! Join us for one day or all five as we travel across Columbus for different activities.  Trips may include bowling, ice skating, the movies and maybe even an Ohio Stadium tour!  At the Community Center, we will swim, play group games in the gym, create crafts and of course climb the Zenith Climbing Wall.  Campers should bring a packed lunch, snack and swimsuit each day.  Participants must have completed kindergarten.  Camp is offered 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.  Extended Care is NOT AVAILABLE for Spring Break Camp.  Camp rates are $45 per day, $35 per day for residents.   Camp is offered Monday, March 27- Friday, March 31.

Below you will find information regarding our Summer Camp programs which include Summer Day Camps, Heritage Kids Camp and Kids Fun Clubs. 

All campers regardless of ability are expected to adhere to camp policy and procedures for the safety of themselves and those around them. Participating campers are to listen and follow all group instructions, function in a group structure, participate in group activities, and have independent daily living skills (toileting, eating, and dressing).

All camp counselors have completed background checks and drug testing and are certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Summer Day Camps 

Summer Day Camps 9:1 Camper/Counselor ratio provides a great environment for your child. Camp fees are $145 per week ($130 per week for residents) with exception to session five fees of $120 ($105 for residents,) due to the holiday. Camp hours are Mon โ€“ Fri from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.  Extended care is available from 7 - 9 a.m. and 4 - 6 p.m. for an additional fee of $2.50 per use. Our weekly themed lesson plans will map out a daily agenda full of games and activities that will both highlight passive play along with high energy movement and will include swimming and a Friday Field Trip. A weekly newsletter will be available online.   Participant camp placement is determined by campers age as of the last day camps are offered.

Summer Day Camp dates will run from Monday June 5th- Friday August 4th.

Camp Registration will take place during the normal Spring Registration dates.

New this year, a $50 minimum payment per child is due for each registered camp week. The remaining portion of each payment is not be due until May, allowing households the ability to defer their payments over time. Full payment may still be made when registering online or in-person, should you choose to do so.

    Heritage Kids Camp

    Located at Antrim Shelter at Heritage Park, 60 N. Cleveland Ave., Heritage Kids Camp offers the ability to combine two of our most successful summer programs, Summer Day Camp and Kids Fun Club in one. This outdoor camp provides ages 6- to 12-year olds a structured daily agenda with the uniqueness of experiencing the outdoors plus the bonus of a Friday swim at the Community Center. Heritage Kids Camp fees are $120 per week ($105 per week for residents,) runs 8 a.m. โ€“ 5 p.m., Mon โ€“ Fri with a 5:1 Camper/Counselor ratio and maximum of 30 campers per week. Extended care is not available.

    Kids Fun Club 

    This Drop-In, Mon - Fri program for ages 6- to 13-year olds (who have completed Kindergarten) is the perfect solution to keep boredom from setting in. Campers will enjoy increased creativity and a sense of adventure with activities such as crafts, games, and special events. Kids Fun Clubs are not day-care facilities, but are recreational sites for children to spend quality leisure time with their peers.

    Junior Leader Program

    Each summer we offer our unique Junior Leader Program!  The purpose of the Jr. Leader Program is to provide young adults the opportunity to gain work experience, develop marketable skills, enjoy recreational activities and learn the importance of volunteer service. The main function is to provide assistance in the organization and implementation of a summer day camp.  Applicants must be 14 years old by the last day of camps to be eligible to apply to the program.  Applications will be available for pick up at the Community Center in early April.
