Fitness and wellness is a component of the healthy & active lifestyle message that is part of Westerville.  There are numerous opportunities for all age groups to be active within our community, whether its using our leisure trails to walk, run or bike to participating in over 70 group fitness or yoga programs.  Our fitness and wellness programming is an active process of becoming aware and making choices toward a better quality of life and sense of well-being.

Live W.E.L.L. Westerville is the community health initiative that promotes a healthy and active lifestyle using a multidisciplinary approach in an effort to reduce a variety of chronic illnesses. This community based initiative provides programs and resources for those who live and work in Westerville to become more acquainted with a variety of wellness opportunities.

Knowing that there are several dimensions to wellness, six have been chosen as points of emphasis that include physical and mental activities, nutrition, education, screenings and safety. It’s a culmination of these activities that will help create a healthy and active standard of living within our community.

W.E.L.L. stands for:
Wellness
 – An active process of becoming aware and making choices toward a more successful and fulfilling quality of life.
Education
 – Programs and resources in the community to assist in the cultural shift of becoming healthy and active.
Leisure
 – Engagement of the community to participate in structured and unstructured physical activity for all ages and abilities.
Lifestyle
 – A culmination of physical and mental activities, nutrition, education, screenings, and safety that assist in creating a healthy and active standard of living within the community.
