In addition to the regular benefit plans, the city makes available several voluntary insurance plans that provide additional coverage, which you may purchase at low group premium rates. These optional insurance choices allow you to tailor additional benefits to your own particular needs and circumstances. These optional benefits are made available merely for your convenience; the city neither endorses nor recommends any of these plans. They are fully portable and remain with you after employment.

The City hopes to provide access to these optional, employee-paid benefits indefinitely. However, the city reserves the right to cease payroll deduction services for any or all of these optional plans, or to offer other optional plans in the future.
