PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Westerville is accepting Letters of Interest from health and wellness providers who would be interested in leasing (and thereby funding) up to 10,000 square feet of space to be added to the Westerville Community Center Expansion Project, which is currently under design with construction in 2018 - 2019 and dedication in fall 2019.

Health partnerships are a critical force in community-based programming and site-specific solutions in addressing issues including, but not limited to, physical inactivity, obesity, chronic disease, disability management and rehabilitation. These partnerships have also proven successful in creating strong worksite wellness programs that aid economic development attraction and retention efforts.

No other community is more prepared to step into a health care partnership than Westerville. In preparation for the expansion project for the Westerville Community Center, the City wishes to expand upon its success in parks and recreation by inviting a top-tier health care partner to consider integration in space and function in this prime location along Westerville’s well-known “Medical Mile,” a stretch of hospitals and health care providers from I-270 to Polaris Parkway, attracting thousands of Central Ohioans daily for their health and rehabilitation needs.

This project will reimagine how products and services are delivered to support healthy lifestyle choices for people of all ages. Programming and amenities will be targeted for those who need help addressing sedentary lifestyles, poor nutrition and access to health care through innovative, individualized health and fitness programs. Our health care partner will support and enrich those health and wellness offerings.

The City’s complete Request for Letters of Interest is available by registering below.
