The Clerk of Council is appointed by and serves the seven-member Westerville City Council. City Council appointed Sara Yinger, CMC, to serve as Clerk of Council in June 2024. Prior to her current role, Sara served as the City of Westerville Deputy Clerk and Administrative Assistant, beginning in 2023. Before joining the City, Sara worked for the Village of Minerva Park, the Westerville City School District and Otterbein University. She earned her B.A. in Leadership from Otterbein University and looks forward to securing her certification as a Municipal Clerk. In her role as Clerk of Council, Sara attends all City Council meetings, prepares and posts agendas and takes and prepares all meeting minutes. She is also the record keeper of all City documents. Deputy Clerks
Deputy Clerk Jennifer Kitchen supports the Clerk of Council by preparing for and documenting meetings, managing official records, and serving as a point of contact for the Planning Commission.
Deputy Clerk Khanthaly Dressel supports the Clerk of Council by preparing for and documenting meetings, managing official records, and serving as a point of contact for the Board of Zoning Appeals and Uptown Review Board.
