Westerville resident since: 1980

Council member since: 1993

Council Activities: Council Chairman 2001-2003, 2009-2013, & 2017-Present; Mayor 2003-2005. Served Westerville on several boards and commissions since 1986.

Education:
B.S. and M.S., Electrical Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology; M.B.A., University of Dayton; Graduate, The Executive Program at Darden, University of Virginia.

Occupation:
Senior Vice President, Transmission, American Electric Power (retired 2013); currently Independent Electric Utility Consultant.

Family:
wife Fernanda, daughter Laura, sons Rick (& his wife Melissa with grandson Casey), and Jim (& his wife Beth with grandson Logan and granddaughter Keira).

COTA Board, Westerville Industry & Commerce Corporation, Westerville Finance/Audit Committee, Westerville Planning Commission, Westerville Parks Foundation, Westerville representative to Otterbein's Innovation Center (The Point), Westerville Traffic Commission, Westerville Visitors & Convention Bureau, Westerville Cable Telecommunications Commission, Westerville Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, and Westerville-Blendon Fire Advisory Committee.

Most memorable City Council accomplishments:
Westerville roadway system development, business growth to reduce residents' tax burden, implementation of five-year financial planning process, improved EMS/Fire response times, and supporting our Troops as Mayor.

What I love about Westerville and what we have accomplished as a Council with City Staff, is the family-friendly City within a Park approach we have provided for our citizens. I will see you all in Uptown or in one of our many Parks!
