Council activities: Mayor Cocuzzi represents City Council to the Ohio Municipal Electric Association and the Central Ohio Mayors and Managers Association.
She serves as a member of Westerville Honor Flight Committee and the Westerville Parks Foundation. Previously served on the Westerville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Planning Commission and Charter Review Commission, as well as Westerville Safety City Director for seven years. Mayor Cocuzzi is a founding member of the Neighbor2Neighbor kindness movement.
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Speech Pathology & Audiology from Cleveland State University.
Family: husband, David, son Matt, daughters Lizz and Joanna, grandchildren Dominic, Sophia, Oliver and Milo.
Other Community Service: Past President of Westerville Library Board of Trustees and Past President of Concord Counseling Board of Trustees. She has also served as a member of Westerville Parks Foundation. She served on the Westerville Education Foundation for seventeen years.
Awards: Sertoma Service to Mankind, Rotary Club A. Monroe Courtright Award and Paul Harris Fellow.
Most memorable City Council accomplishment(s): "Over these many years on Council and as Mayor, I've had a lot of great moments. To me, the best moment came when I was able to declare Faith Pruden Day in honor of this sweet little girl with cancer. She was so happy. And I still think of May 9 as her day in Westerville."
