There is nothing quite like Westerville during the holidays…
City buildings are aglow with cheerful lights, stores are full of happy shoppers and community events bring residents together. It is a time to take stock of what we are thankful for and to give a helping hand to those in need. That’s what is at the heart of the holidays in Westerville: the purposeful and joyful spirit that is so authentically “us.” This holiday season, there are plenty of ways to support neighbors in need.
City Staff Gives Back...
City of Westerville staff came together this holiday season to donate food to residents in need. After weeks of gathering donations, staff donated a total of 8,579 lbs of food for the nonprofit Westerville Caring & Sharing.
“Without this food drive, Westerville Caring & Sharing would have a hard time filling boxes of food for families in need,” said Linda Weir, Administrative Secretary for the Westerville Division of Fire. “We have become their biggest food donor.” City staff members have supported the organization for 21 years.
