Tax Season Tools

In the City of Westerville, it is mandatory for anyone 18 years or older who is a resident of Westerville or conducts business in the City to file an annual income tax return by the federal due date in April of each year.

The Westerville Online Business Withholding/Individual Tax Tool is available for those needing to file individual tax returns or business withholding payments/reconciliation.

Residents looking to use the tool to file an individual tax returns will need to have their “File Number” from the mailer that was sent out to those residents who are registered with the City. This number can be located on the top right of the mailer. Residents who misplaced or did not receive the mailer may call the income tax department at the number below to retrieve their file number. Callers will need to provide their address and the last four digits of their Social Security number to the tax associate in order to receive this number.

City of Westerville Income Tax Division personnel can assist residents either by email, phone or in person. The Income Tax office is open for walk-in assistance Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Residents may also call the office at (614) 901-6420 or email incometax@westerville.org.

Residents choosing to visit the Tax Office are asked to bring a copy of their Federal Income Tax Return, all W-2's and 1099-Misc for wages. This will help staff assist in preparing the Westerville Income Tax Return.  There is no charge for this service.
