The City of Westerville is aware of some resident complaints about fiber installation and/or construction in the utility right of way. AT&T applied for and secured a permit for utility easement construction and installation of fiber as an Internet service provider.

What to know about the utility easement.
Internet, electric, gas and cable providers generally have a right to work within designated utility easements and public right-of-way areas. While the City oversees permitting and inspections for public right-of-ways, the utility company and its contractor manage construction activities and restoration.

Who do I contact for questions about my property or restoration issues?
The City does not manage the construction schedule(s) for permit holders. To learn about work occurring in the utility right of way, please contact the utility provider directly.If you observe a safety concern, please notify the City. If you're unable to identify a company digging in your area, the City's Customer Service is available to help you reach the right contact. Please call them at (614) 901-6400.
