UPDATE: City Leaf Collection

Post Date:12/26/2018 11:33 AM
The Westerville Public Service Department is encouraging residents to have all remaining leaves raked to their tree lawns by 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2 when they will begin a final “clean-up lap” of the City. This final lap is expected to take approximately one week to complete.

As of Wednesday, Dec. 26, the majority of Zone 3 and a portion of Zone 4 were complete. See the Zone Collection map

The City’s Public Service Department has cleared 6,000 cubic yards of leaves so far this year. Crews are facing the highest volume seen in Westerville in 10 years. Please remember that leaves can always be placed in an unlined trash can or paper yard waste bag for collection on Mondays.

FAQs:
Why is leaf collection behind schedule?
The leaves dropped late this season and with 6,000 cubic yards of leaves collected so far (and more to go), crews are facing the highest volume the City has seen in 10 years.

I have questions. Where can I get the most up-to-date information?
Follow the progress here: www.westerville.org/leafcollection or the Public Service crew collection map at www.westerville.org/roadwarriors. If you have a special consideration or concern, City staff would be happy to discuss at (614) 901-6740.
