The Light Ohio Blue caravan will be coming through Westerville on Wednesday, May 6, at approximately 8 p.m. Following an opening ceremony in New Albany, Ohio, at 6:15 p.m., the caravan will travel to Johnstown, Sunbury, Galena, and Genoa Township, Ohio, then Westerville. From Westerville, the caravan will head to downtown Columbus, Ohio, turning left (southbound) on Cleveland Avenue proceeding to I-270, where it will conclude on the riverfront at approximately 8:45 p.m.
Caravan Travel Route in Westerville
The caravan will enter Westerville on North State Street from Mount Royal Avenue and travel south on State Street into Uptown. The caravan will then turn right (westbound) on West Main Street, passing by First Responders Park (374 W. Main St.) and Westerville Fire Station 111 (400 W. Main St.). Community members are encouraged to show support for law enforcement officers by standing alongside of roads that the caravan will travel. The Westerville Division of Police recommends meeting along West Main Street near First Responders Park.
