The Engineering Division is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and inspection of the City’s public infrastructure improvements. This Division also ensures that work completed by private developers and private utility companies within the public right-of-way meets the City’s specifications.
The engineering staff manages much of the City’s Capital Improvement Program, including transportation, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water distribution projects. Engineering staff also provide technical support to other City departments, developers, and citizens with respect to utility locations, storm water management, water distribution, transportation planning, traffic, neighborhood traffic issues, and other engineering related items.
