The Westerville Parks and Recreation Department is your community connection for sports, recreation, leisure classes, programs and entertainment. The Recreation Division seeks to provide professionally designed and supervised programs that benefit all ages - children, youth, teens, adults and seniors; programs that promote personal growth and self-esteem, and that significantly contribute to the quality of life enjoyed by all Westerville residents.
You can always count on us to do our very best to serve the recreation and leisure needs of the community. The Department offers more than 1,900 programs annually to citizens of all ages and abilities. Many activities are offered including: pre-school, parent/child, youth, teen/adult and senior adult programs; athletics; the arts; aquatics; special events; day camps; and general interest and wellness programs. Programs are conducted within our parks, local schools and recreation buildings.

Fitness & Wellness Classes
Westerville Parks and Recreation offers a comprehensive fitness and wellness program that is committed to providing the Westerville community access to resources, information, classes and tools for improving individual quality of life. Our programs will teach you new skills and build on those you have already established. Take advantage of special classes, clinics, and workshops and find out how much FUN fitness and good health can be!
The Westerville Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide variety of sports leagues and instructional classes through the year for all ages and ability levels from recreation to competitive. Participation in sports can reduce risk of stress related diseases, increase self-esteem and create a balance between work or school and play.
Westerville Parks and Recreation welcomes you and your preschooler to a wide selection of quality preschool programs offering many benefits. Teachers are experienced instructor who are committed to your preschooler having a positive experience. Children will benefit by developing cognitive and physical skills, social interaction and self-confidence. Please note that children must be toilet-trained before participating in preschool classes.
The Westerville Parks and Recreation Department recognizes the importance of instructors as positive role models and are committed to offering safe, healthy and fun-filled activities for the community's youth. Participants will benefit by increasing self-image, improving self-esteem and learning social & life skills as well has living an healthy, active lifestyle.
