In November, Westerville voters will have the opportunity to decide on the renewal of a one quarter of one percent income tax dedicated to the Parks & Recreation system
  • The 2014 Online Resident Survey is Open The City of Westerville invites you to participate in the 2014 Online Resident Survey. Survey findings are used by the City to prepare and evaluate services and programs in order to best meet your needs and ensure a high level of service. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete, and responses are strictly confidential. Click for more.
  • Volunteer for City Boards and Commissions Are you interested in serving your community? Effective December 31, the City of Westerville will have vacancies on all eight Boards and Commissions. Applications are due by Friday, October 17. Click here to learn more and submit an application today.
  • I-270/Cleveland Avenue Interchange Improvement The Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) I-270/Cleveland Avenue interchange improvement project is beginning to take shape. Reconfigured ramps, new traffic signals and the closure of select loop ramps are all part of the enhancement.   • Smothers Road Closing Sept. 15-Nov. 15 Across Hoover Reservoir The City of Columbus will be performing erosion protection improvements along Smothers Road, closing the roadway between Schott/Red Bank Road and Sunbury Road from September 15-November 15. Motorists are encouraged to use Sunbury Road and Central College Road as east-west alternates across Hoover Reservoir.
  • Smoke Detector Recall The Westerville Division of Fire wants you to know about the recall of three models of smoke detectors. These Kidde hard-wired smoke and combination smoke/carbon monoxide (CO) alarms are being recalled due to potential failure to alert of a fire or a CO incident following a power outage.

  • Brian Miller Named City of Westerville Fire Chief Brian Miller, a 15-year veteran of the Westerville Division of Fire, has been named Westerville Fire Chief, replacing Chief Bernie Ingles who is retiring after 37 years in the fire service. Chief Miller officially starts his new position on Saturday, September 13.
