The Westerville Division of Police arrested three people for breaking into a car at the soccer fields located at 325 N. Cleveland Ave. Westerville, Ohio.

 

Detectives from the Division of Police set up a surveillance operation at the soccer fields and observed a suspect throwing a spark plug at the window of a SUV.   This occurred at 1:36 pm.  Officers then arrested three suspects.  The suspects were charged with Attempted Theft and Criminal Damaging.  The investigation still continues to determine how many and who else was involved with the series of thefts from the soccer fields.  We are still asking for the public's help to find the gold or tan Toyota Camry that was involved with other thefts.

Botan, Abdirashid, age 17, of 2261 Albert Ave. Apt. 1A, Columbus, Ohio

 

Awis, Jamal, age age 16, of 3207 Turner Ct. Columbus, Ohio

 

Mohamed, Abdikadir, age 20, of 3189 Agape Dr. Columbus, Ohio
