Electric Power Supply Cost Adjustment Increases in 2010

The Power Supply Cost Adjustment (PSCA) on Westerville consumers’ electric bills has been increased effective with electric billing rendered after December 31, 2009. The new PSCA is $0.03852 per kilowatt hour, increased from $0.03583 per kilowatt hour which became effective October 1, 2009. The increase is in effect for all Residential, Commercial, and Industrial electric consumers and increases consumers’ costs by approximately 3.0 percent over previous costs. On an average monthly residential consumption of 1,200 kilowatt hours, the new PSCA increase would add approximately $63.00 to annual electric costs.

The PSCA comprises only a portion of the total electric charges and is adjusted to reflect any anticipated increase or decrease in the cost of power from suppliers or any past over or under recovery of power supply costs. Refer to this website under City Departments > Electric > Rates for additional details on electric charges.
