Uptown mural as seen from College
 Photo Tour of Westerville Art

The City of Westerville has many fine examples of outdoor art for the general public to enjoy  - even some of our signage may be considered art!  The tour is arranged by the street address of the artwork.

The mural depicted in the banner above is one of three in the Uptown District.  This mural is located on the southern exterior of the 38 North State Street building and is viewed from East Main Street.  Facilitated by Gallery 202, Partners in Art, Inc., the wall mural depicts Westerville in 1910. Over a twelve week period in 2004, over one hundred local artists of all ages and abilities contributed to the project.  Although professional artists helped unite the image, many original paint marks completed by children and novices alike were preserved.  In particular, check out the fruit stand and the Children's Art Garden. One of the young artists, Marcella, found a poem about the signing of a Westerville document in the early 1900's  - find the poem tucked behind the wooden structure.

The other two Uptown murals, also by Gallery 202, are located on the north wall of the Westerville Grille, 59 South State Street, and Westerville Automotive.
