Many activities are offered including: pre-school, parent/child, youth, teen/adult and senior adult programs; athletics; the arts; aquatics; special events; day camps; and general interest and wellness programs. Programs are conducted within our parks, local schools and recreation buildings.

Aquatics
The Department offers swim lessons for people ages six months through adulthood at all skills levels. Lessons are taught by experienced aquatics staff instructors. Lessons are taught at the Pool at Highlands Park (seasonally) and at the Community Center. Our swim lessons are age appropriate, skill appropriate, safe, professional and most importantly, FUN!

Fitness and Wellness
Westerville Parks and Recreation offers a comprehensive fitness and wellness program that is committed to providing the Westerville community access to resources, information, classes and tools for improving individual quality of life. Our programs will teach you new skills and build on those you have already established. Take advantage of special classes, clinics, and workshops and find out how much FUN fitness and good health can be!

Preschool Recreation
The recreation department realizes the importance of providing leisure opportunities for children at an early age. Our preschool programs are designed to develop your child's creativity, imagination and self-expression in a safe, supervised environment. Come experience the unique variety of programs offered quarterly. The Westerville Parks and Recreation Department also invites you and your child to share in a wide selection of programs designed expressly for parent and child. Enhance quality time together and strengthen bonds in parent/child programs which range from age-appropriate sports and fitness, arts and crafts, and music appreciation classes.

Youth Recreation/Sports
Recreational programs provide an avenue for positive growth and development. They not only enhance skill development, but encourage growth as a whole person. Some of the programs offered through our recreation department include various sports, leadership workshops, self defense, drama, drawing and cooking classes. Click here for link to sports page.
