The Parks Division manages over 580 acres of park land in 46 locations and maintains neighborhood, community and school parks; nature preserves; sports complexes; greenways; and all city grounds. Facilities also include managed wetlands, mini parks, baseball/softball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, an amphitheater, fitness station, playgrounds, shelters, restrooms and over 26 miles of bikeways and leisure paths.

The Urban Forestry staff, with the guidance of the Shade Tree Commission, maintains over 12,000 street trees plus all public trees to ensure their maximum performance for the community. In addition, the Parks Division maintains public gardens, flowerbeds, flower pots, hanging baskets and 65 acres of medians and city right-of-ways. There are a variety of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals planted throughout Westerville and staff is always interested in volunteer efforts throughout the season to help maintain maximum curb appeal. To volunteer with the Parks Maintenance Division, call Margie Fugate, Horticulturist at (614) 901-6588.
