  • Focus Westerville: Parks and Recreation Master Plan Check out the latest episode of “Focus Westerville,” which examines what the original Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Master Plan accomplished through community input and support, as well as plans for future parks and facility development as proposed in the updated PROS Master Plan.
  • Trick-or-Treat (Beggar's Night): Thursday, Oct. 30 Trick-or-Treat (Beggar's Night) will take place in Westerville on Thursday, October 30 from 6-8 p.m.
  • 2014 Fall Leaf Collection Program The 2014 Fall Leaf Collection Program will occur throughout the City on three separate occasions, beginning October 13 and continuing until December 19. Know your zone and learn when leaf collection will take place in your area here.
  • Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Master Plan Westerville is a nationally recognized “City Within a Park,” known as one of the best parks systems in the county thanks to the support of our residents and users. In November, Westerville voters will have the opportunity to decide on the renewal of a one quarter of one percent income tax dedicated to the Parks & Recreation system.
  • I-270/Cleveland Avenue Interchange Improvement The Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) I-270/Cleveland Avenue interchange improvement project is beginning to take shape. Reconfigured ramps, new traffic signals and the closure of select loop ramps are all part of the enhancement.   • Smothers Road Closing Sept. 15-Nov. 15 Across Hoover Reservoir The City of Columbus will be performing erosion protection improvements along Smothers Road, closing the roadway between Schott/Red Bank Road and Sunbury Road from September 15-November 15. Motorists are encouraged to use Sunbury Road and Central College Road as east-west alternates across Hoover Reservoir.
  • Smoke Detector Recall The Westerville Division of Fire wants you to know about the recall of three models of smoke detectors. These Kidde hard-wired smoke and combination smoke/carbon monoxide (CO) alarms are being recalled due to potential failure to alert of a fire or a CO incident following a power outage.
